Chilly Willy

That nip in the air last evening turned into one pretty cool morning. In Spokane it hasn't been too bad, down around 50 degrees, but in Deer Park the low was 37, and out near Cheney at the Turnbull Wildlife Refuge it is now 32. That's freezing! It is September though, and these are the usual cold pockets so it is really not that surprising. The forecast continues to call for nice days with sunshine and cool nights through tomorrow. High temperatures today and tomorrow will be near 80 degrees. We should start to see some high clouds drifting in from the southwest on Saturday as a large upper level low pressure system moves closer to the Pacific Northwest coast. As it moves in Saturday night and Sunday cooler and showery weather will take hold, and last through Monday, Labor Day. Top temperatures will drop back to the 60s for the latter part of the holiday weekend, with lows in the 40s. Skies will be mostly cloudy and rain showers will be scattered over the Inland Northwest from time to time.

Time? Time to play tennis! Then I will spend the day going up and down a ladder cleaning the gutters and making sure that they are snug against the eaves of the house. Oh what fun! I might be taking in the Gonzaga Prep football game this evening though, so there is something to look forward to.
