A Significant Day

Happy birthday to my daughter Beth! It was 19 years ago today that she emerged onto this earth, head first, and things have been...shall we say...very interesting ever since. In celebration, after my tennis posse returns the favor of kicking butt this morning, we will be going to lunch, doing some shopping, and taking in a movie. There is some question as whether or not I will be subjected to this cinematic sentence, as the flick most likely to be viewed is not considered old man appropriate. The evening schedule is still up in the air, but I am sure that we will find something to do in honor of our "Sweet Babboo".

From the looks of the sky we might be in for some brief sunshine on the South Hill as the sun does rise, but clouds and rain showers will be taking over once again. Yesterday's high temperature was 49 degrees! That was recorded just about the time that I let the doggie out at 6:53am. Today will be a bit cooler, in the low 40s, but this is the stuff we will be having all the way into the middle of next week...quite mild for mid January...pretty easy to take!
