Totally Beat!

It has been a long day...a wonderful day...but a long one. It all started with a choir cantata at the church. It was a lot of fun to sing, and the second service went just a little bit better than the first, but each one was very good. It is kind of sad that we won't be singing the whole program again, but we will sing a song or two for our Christmas services. This afternoon and evening we had our annual Christmas open house, I think it was the 1027th one that we have hosted. Today the weather was very good, it near 40 degrees and there was just a little bit of rain, so the turn out was unprecedented! Between about 1:30 and 4:00 pm there was no way we could have wedged another person in the house. The event wound down about 9 this evening, and the clean up didn't take very long...thanks to Kay's mom, so the day ended very well.

The weather is warm and wet, considering that winter starts tomorrow, it is not at all what you would expect. Last year at this time we had 3 feet of Snow on the ground, and more was coming down. Looking at the next few days we will be turning a bit cooler, but there isn't much indication that there is significant snow coming for Christmas...I know that this might be a disappointment to many, but I am okay with that!
