Good Morning Sunshine!

Right now the sky is clear, and the sun will be shining all day long. Actually, not that long. This time of the year the sun comes up around 11:15 in the morning and goes down again at 12:45 in the afternoon. Seriously, we only get about 8 hours of daylight at the beginning of winter, and the sun only rises to 20 degrees above the southern horizon at midday. Whatever! It should be nice and bright these next couple of days, a bit chilly, but nice and bright. By Friday, Christmas Day we will very likely see the fog and low clouds settle in, and then hang around for quite some time. Temperatures will be a little below normal into next week. We will see highs in the mid to upper 20s most days, while the normal high is 32 degrees. There is going to be a huge storm dumping lots of snow, sleet and freezing rain on the home country, Wisconsin and Minnesota, this Christmas, but here in the great Northwest we will have none of that...just Silent Nights, Holy Nights, and Midnights Clear.
