Man...I wish that I would have caught these guys, but I was quite happy to eat them. What a great way to polish off a productive day! Kay found rainbow trout on sale for $2.99 a pound, so she reeled them in. At a total of $4.77 they turned out fantastic.
It was another very nice day today, as the temperatures topped out in the mid to upper 40s. The sun made it feel nice and warm, but it was a little breezy. There is a big storm that is passing south of us, it has been hammering California all day long. This is a typical El Nino type situation where we have a split in the jet stream carrying storms to our south, and others to our north. We sit in between with some pretty tranquil weather. I have mentioned before that our snowfall is way below average, and our temperatures have been way above. The other good thing is that we haven't had near as much fog and gloom as in most winters, so our weather has been a real blessing in many ways.
Now on to Friday. I am taking most of the day off. There is tennis in the morning and a girls freshman basketball game to officiate in the late afternoon. Otherwise...can you say lazy day?
Spring/summer will come. And with that, the two fishermen in my house will be found at Williams Lake, poles in hand. We usually end up with more trout than we can eat....I'll keep you and Kay in mind.
