The combination of nearly two inches of fresh "packy" snow, New Year's Eve, and a glass of "Official Triple Dog dare ya "Moore-Pour" Irish Cream concoction made for quite a party last night on 54th Lane. We had a special guest that we built out on the cul-de-sac. As with any good New Year's eve party this guy wasn't feeling very good this morning after collapsing from all of the fun. Actually, it was a night of rising temperatures and rain that did him in. All of that snow that came down late yesterday afternoon and evening is just about gone. That is the way that it has been this winter...what little snow that we get melts away very quickly. I have said it numerous times before, and will say it again, that's alright with me!
Now its New Year's Day...time for a traditional German breakfast, and then a day long fight over the TV. I want to watch football, and the ladies want to watch anything but. We will be going to visit friends to play games this afternoon and evening, so I will have to be selective about my football. The bowl season so far has been great! My Badgers stomped Miami in the Champs Sports Bowl, and the Idaho Vandals came back in the last second to beat Bowling Green in the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise (there you go Jason...are you happy now?) My attention is now turning to the Boise State Broncos as they prepare to battle TCU in the Fiesta Bowl. Go Broncos! (that one was for you Larry!)
