We're getting off to a slow start this morning, which is a good thing. At 11 this morning I will be out on the court again with a couple of JV girls basketball games to officiate. After that it will be time to become "The Sermonator"! I have 3 sermons, two for Christmas Eve and one for Christmas Day, to prepare in the next 4 days. That is not too daunting of a task, and will actually be quite enjoyable. The themes, the birth of Christ of course, are good ones.
It is raining again this morning...I might have to mow the lawn before Christmas...and the rain will continue through the day, then it is going to get a little colder through the week. There still isn't much chance for snow to cover the ground for Christmas, but it will feel more like December. Did you know that winter starts today? That's right, the official beginning of the winter season begins with the solstice this morning. This is the day with the least amount of daylight and the lowest midday sun angle. Its all uphill from here...right? Oh yes, there is still January to endure. Today's temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s, tomorrow in the mid 30s, and then in the upper 20s to around 30 for Wednesday into the weekend.
